Our agency serves all 15 towns in the county with approximately 240 staff and a budget of over six million dollars in federal, state/county and private funding. Our work includes Community Education through home visiting / group participation; provision of skills and resources for families and individuals in crisis; educational preschool and school-age childcare and volunteer opportunities throughout the county. We work with all ages of Wayne County residents, from all areas who present with a need. Consistent with our overall agency mission to move area families in crisis to self-sufficiency, we continue to research avenues of service. In the spirit of collaboration with our fellow county agencies, and to ensure responsible planning provision and continuation of relevant services, Wayne CAP conducts a Comprehensive Community Assessment every three years.
