Finger Lakes Living Healthy AmeriCorps: We are currently recruiting for 12 AmeriCorps Members to serve May 26 to Dec. 2017.  Members receive a bi-weekly living allowance during their term of service and are eligible for an education award to cover qualified college costs or student loans upon completion of their service term.  Members at 55 and older may transfer their education award to a child or grandchild. You must also submit a photo ID and the Wayne County Action Program AmeriCorps Volunteer application and available at the following link:

Foster Grandparent Volunteer Opportunities

Average # of hours per week: 20 – 40 Hours a week
Summary of Position:
Work with children from 6 weeks of age to 21 in a School, Daycare or Head Start setting.
Basic Qualifications:
Fifty five years of age and income eligible.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Be a role model to children. Depending on age you will work on
academic and social skills with the children.
