Finger Lakes Living Healthy AmeriCorps Program

 

Finger Lakes Living Healthy AmeriCorps members promote and provide a Healthy Living health education program known as the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program in Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Cayuga counties and coordinate mentoring programs in 4 high needs school districts in Wayne County.

AmeriCorps Members age 18 to 80 serve 25 – 30 hours per week at Host Sites including community based organizations, health care providers, human service agencies, residential facilities, educational institutions, and government offices.  Members must have a high school diploma.

We are currently recruiting for 12 AmeriCorps Members to serve from May 26th to December 2017.  Members receive a bi-weekly living allowance during their term of service and are eligible for an education award to cover qualified college costs or student loans upon completion of their service term.  Members at 55 and older may transfer their education award to a child or grandchild.
