Foster Grandparents provide warm friendship, interest, understanding, and role modeling.
They provide tutoring, mentoring, individualized attention, unhurried help, and personal care.
They talk and listen, play, explore, sing, walk, read and cuddle with an infant.
Who can become a Foster Grandparent?
Men and Women who are:
Living on a limited income
Enjoy being with children
Can serve 20-40 hours per week
Where do Foster Grandparents serve?
In facilities such as: schools, Head Start centers, day care centers, Roosevelt Children’s Center
Operating in the following counties: Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Yates
What does a Foster Grandparent Receive?
A tax free stipend, free daily meal, transportation allowance, paid leave & sick time, free annual physical, accident insurance coverage during volunteer time, orientation, and monthly training.
